Basic Portuguese  

A1 and A2

The Portuguese A1 course is aimed at participants who wish to start learning Portuguese as a foreign language, no previous knowledge of the language is necessary.

It is intended to give all Mexican citizens and citizens of other nationalities the opportunity to learn Portuguese, Brazil and get to know some of Portugal and its culture, reaching an audience that would otherwise be unable to do so.

Intercultural approaches that contemplate teaching and learning as a means and a process of knowing the other and, simultaneously, of oneself are privileged. Teaching and learning are intended to promote the Portuguese language and Brazilian culture and the progressive construction of a multilingual and multicultural awareness.

OBJECTIVE

Overall, at the end of this course, the student will be able to understand and use familiar, everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at meeting specific needs. You will be able to introduce yourself, introduce others, and ask and answer questions about personal details (for example: where you live, people he/she knows, and things he/she has). You will learn to interact in a simple way, as long as the other person speaks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help you. without prior knowledge of the Portuguese language to enroll in the course is not necessary.

  • Uses of basic grammar and communication skills: personal presentation, birthdays, thanks, apology, habits, placing orders in restaurants, expressing date and time, basic conversations, days of the week, times of the year, months of the year, names, nationalities, places, numbers, hours, communicate by phone and e-mail, discover animals, domestic space, narrate daily events, clothing, clothing, food, hygiene and cleaning products.

  • Pessoais, Possessive, Interrogative, Demonstrative and Reflexive Pronouns

  • Comprehension skills reduced to simple and repetitive sentences

The Portuguese A2 course is aimed at participants who wish to deepen their knowledge of the Portuguese language.

It is a course that aims to give all Mexican citizens and citizens of other nationalities the opportunity to learn Portuguese, Brazil and learn about Portugal and its culture, reaching an audience that would otherwise be unable to do so.

Intercultural approaches that contemplate teaching and learning as a means and a process of knowing the other and, simultaneously, of oneself are privileged. Teaching and learning are aimed at promoting the Brazilian language and culture and the progressive construction of a multilingual and multicultural awareness.

OBJECTIVE

Globally, at the end of this course, the student will be able to understand isolated phrases and frequent expressions related to areas of immediate priority (for example: simple personal and family information, shopping, surrounding environment). You will be able to communicate in simple tasks and routines that only require a simple and direct exchange of information on matters that are familiar and habitual to you. You will be able to describe in a simple way your training, the surrounding environment and, in addition, refer to matters related to immediate needs.

  • Uses of basic grammar and average sentence structures: expression of people's tastes, description of the family, expressing and arguing tastes and preferences, placing orders in stores, analyzing and reflecting on various cultural aspects of Brazil, food, establishments, money, forms of payment , hotel, clothes, accessories.

  • Flexion and use of verbais forms for expressing fatos not present (present of the indicative, verb to be + gerund and preterite perfect made up of the indicative).

  • Flexion and use of verbais forms to express non-past facts (simple past perfect, imperfect past tense and more-than-perfect past tense composed of the indicative, verb to be + gerund).

  • Flexion and use of verbais forms to express the future (go + infinitive).

  • Flexão e use of nouns, adjectives; artigos, numerais; demonstrative, indefinite, pessoais and possessive pronouns.

  • Prefixation and suffixation, comparison and degree in nouns, adjectives and adverbs.

  • Use of adverbs, adverbial locuções and adjective locuções.

  • Use of prepositions and introductory coordinative connectives of additive and alternative sentences.

  • Reading and writing of textual genres such as e-mail, letter, press release, commentary, folder, reportage, simple film and literature reviews;

  • Grammatical elements studied: tenses verbais: preterite perfect, preterite imperfect, future of the present, future of the past and preterite more-than-perfect, imperative and subjunctive modes (present), definite and indefinite articles and verbs and their prepositions.
